WELCOME TO THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECOLOGICAL CAMP (IEEC2018)
Date: 6 – 17 August 2018
Venue: University Malaysia Perlis, UniMAP, Langkawi Island and Penang Island.
IEEC is a 2 weeks’ summer school program focusing on the enhancement of global environmental education. The summer program is initiated to provide overseas college students with hands-on opportunities to learn the environmental and ecological biodiversity of Malaysia, while at the same time leaning the Malay language and experience the cultural and academic life in Malaysia. This short-term, intensive program mainly consists of classroom lectures, laboratory activities, field trips, social activies and community service activities. Through the coursework and laboratories activities, international students will have the opportunities to better understand the dynamic aspects of Malaysia’s ecology and biodiversity in the past, present and future. During the program, students will embark on various field trips that are related to the subjects they are studying. These include trip to Wang Burma Cave, Langkawi Island and Penang Island.
The host university will accept 50 students for IEEC2018. All programs of IEEC2018 will be conducted in English.
